Letters to the editor: Gonzaga’s season one for the books
Grateful toward Gonzaga
I have been a Gonzaga men’s basketball fan for 20 years. I feel blessed and fortunate to have such a great university and team in Spokane to cheer for. They have brought tremendous excitement to our community. Over these years, I have met many, many players, and they have all been kind to me.
Coach Mark Few, Tommy Lloyd and Donnie Daniels have done an exceptional coaching job. It is great that Few is the coach of the year. He deserves it.
This year my dad and I went to the Gonzaga-San Diego game and were invited to sit on the floor to watch the game. It was so loud, a lot louder than if you sit in the middle of the McCarthy Center. I am so proud of the Zags, both men’s and women’s teams. Thank you, GU, for your kindness and excellence. I am grateful.

Extra coverage appreciated
I just wanted to applaud you for the extensive Gonzaga men’s basketball team coverage this past season. The coverage was noticeably more than other years, even before we knew the team would do so well and be ranked No. 1 in the nation. I’ve been a big Zags fan for many years, but I feel like seeing all the amazing pictures and reading all the thorough articles helped me get more excited and more committed to the team. The Zags have really helped to unite the Spokane community and I feel like The Spokesman-Review has been a big part of that this year. So thank you so much. Your work was noticed and appreciated.
