‘Remember the run’ shirt celebrates Gonzaga’s 37-win season

Zome Design has come up with licensed T-shirts to commemorate Gonzaga’s historic men’s basketball season.

“Remember the run” with the school’s bulldog mascot adorn the front. A second version states “History was made” on the front.

The back of both blue shirts notes the team’s 37 wins: “Most in school history.”

The Zags played for the NCAA national championship April 3, losing to North Carolina. Zome had a crew standing by that night in its Spokane Valley shop, ready to produce thousands of championship T-shirts before dawn.

Instead, the company designed the new shirts.

“This is our product line that is meant to give fans something to cherish in lieu of the championship that didn’t quite happen,” sales manager Zane Troester said Tuesday.

The shirts will be available for sale online, at www.gonzagaapparel.com, starting Thursday. Next week they are expected to be available in select grocery stores in the region.
