Boat overturns on Columbia River; 4 taken to hospitals

PORTLAND – Authorities say four people were rescued after a boat overturned on the Columbia River near Multnomah Falls.

Details of the incident and rescue were not immediately available Friday. American Medical Response says its ambulances took three people to hospitals with injuries not considered life-threatening. It says a fourth patient was taken by helicopter to Portland’s Legacy Emanuel Medical Center.
