North Central second at prestigious Bob Firman Invitational
The North Central boys cross country team took second in the prestigious Bob Firman Invitational near Boise on Saturday.
NC finished with 139 points in the 25-team field. Highly touted Davis of Utah, ranked ninth in the nation, won with 84.
Jacob Christner led NC, finishing in 15 minutes, 40 seconds on the Eagle Island State Park course. Christner was 15 seconds behind the winner.
NC placed five in the top 50, four in the top 32.
“We ran really well and were pleased with the tightness of the group,” NC assistant coach Kelly Walters said.
