Award-winning virtuoso violinists and vocalists Ernesto, Alberto and Luis headline the fourth annual Humanitas Festival with a concert where Mariachi meets jazz and classical. Contemporary high-octane Mexican fiddling.

4. Pianist George Winston

The city of Spokane Valley’s family-oriented community event features entertainment on three stages, hot air balloons, a car show and other festivities. The bed races begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday along East Sprague Avenue between Unviersity and Bowdish roads, followed by the Hearts of Gold parade between Pines and University.
