Education Notebook: 27 schools receive backpacks full of school supplies

Twenty-seven schools in the Cheney, Medical Lake, Spokane and East Valley school districts have received backpacks full of school supplies thanks to a TOOLS2SCHOOLS fundraising campaign.

More than $25,000 was donated by DCI Engineers, NAC Architecture, Spokane Regional Plan Center, Integrus, Coffman Engineers, GEO Engineers, Bernardo Wills Architects, MMEC Architecture and Interiors, LSB Consulting Engineers, Garco Construction, L&S Engineering, Lydig Construction, the Coeur d’Alene Casino and Communities in Schools to fill 1,550 backpacks.
