Mead handles University, finishes third in league

The Mead football team settled for some consolation Friday.

The Panthers finished Greater Spokane League 4A play in fine fashion, topping the University Titans 35-18 at U-Hi.

Mead finished league in third place at 3-2 and moved to 6-3 overall. U-Hi slipped to 2-7 and 0-5.

Both teams will play nonleague crossover games next week to conclude the season.
