Dems abandon working class

The white working class used to be the core of the Democratic Party. Any aspersion on its educational level, demeanor or character would be instantly rebuffed by the party, which asserted it respected and supported them.

But as the class has ceased to be a reliable voting bloc, the highest levels of the party (as well as liberal media and academics) feel free to openly express their harted and contempt, using such epithets as “irredeemable,” “redneck,” “bitter clingers” or “deplorables.”

Those other identity blocs of the Democratic Party (Muslims, Jews, blacks, Hispanics, gays, illegal immigrants) that may have concluded they have the party’s respect, might consider if that respect exists only so long as they remain unfailing Democratic voters.
