Washington state trooper struck by pickup truck in Spokane
A Washington state trooper was hospitalized Monday afternoon after a pickup truck changed lanes and struck him on his motorcycle in Spokane.
Trooper Jeff Sevigney, who serves as the WSP’s spokesman in the Spokane area, was riding east on Trent Avenue near Mission Avenue at about 3 p.m. when the pickup pulled into his lane, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Sevigney, 42, was treated and released from Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. The driver, identified as 64-year-old Charles Meeks, was uninjured and charged with making an improper lane change.
