Man’s body reportedly found by kids who broke into home
A man’s body found inside a North Spokane County home Monday was discovered by “kids” who had broken into the seemingly abandoned home, according to new court documents.
The yard of the home in the 3000 block of East Lincoln Road was overgrown and the front door was unlocked when deputies arrived in response to a woman’s phone call reporting what the kids found. The power was off and the home was strewn with garbage. The body of the man in the bedroom appeared to have been there for months, according to court documents.
The 66-year-old man died of a gunshot wound to the mouth and head, according to the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office. The death is still under investigation by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.
