Design

Zak Designs recently received the 2016 Governor’s Trader of the Year Award, given to a company in Washington state that demonstrates success through innovation, contribution to the local economy and its service to the community.

Engineering

The American Society of Civil Engineers recently elected the Inland Empire Section’s board of directors, comprising: city of Spokane’s John Sayers as president; ALLWEST Engineering’s Bill Meeks as president-elect; city of Spokane’s Ryan Brodwater as vice president; Rick Martin as secretary/treasurer; ALLWEST Engineering’s Andy Eliason as director; GeoEngineers’ Erik Arnson as director; and Gonzaga’s Dr. Mark Muszynski as past president.

Health

Julie Holt has been named Kootenai Health Foundation’s new president. Holt is moving from Fountain Valley, California, where she owns her own consulting firm. Prior to owning her own business, Holt worked as vice president of philanthropy for St. Joseph Health in Orange, California, and as vice president of the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation.

Hospitality

Hanna Seagrave recently won the Rising Star of the Year award at the Washington Lodging Convention awards dinner. The award acknowledges employees for their exceptional services to their guests, community and the industry. She is the sales and catering coordinator for Ramada at Spokane Airport.

Law

Charles Hausberg has been hired by Lukins & Annis P.S. as an associate attorney. Hausberg focuses on litigation and labor and employment law. He received his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law and worked in Seattle at Garvey Shubert Barer.

Partnering for Progress has added Canada Segura as its board of directors’ treasurer. Segura is a certified public accountant and tax senior at Spokane’s Moss Adams LLP. Partnering for Progress is a nonprofit based in Spokane that sends two teams to Kenya every year to work to improve health, education, economic development, water and sanitation.

Gina Mosey has joined RE/MAX Inland Empire’s sales team. Mosey has 12 years of real estate experience. She previously was employed with John L. Scott.
