State African-American Affairs commission to meet in Spokane Friday
The Washington State Commission on African-American Affairs will hold a public meeting Friday in Spokane focused on criminal justice issues.
Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich, Mayor David Condon and Assistant Police Chief Craig Meidl are among those scheduled to present. The nine-member commission includes two representatives from eastern Washington. One of those is Sandy Williams, the editor of Spokane’s Black Lens, a black community newspaper.
The meeting will take place from 1-4 p.m. Friday at Emmanuel Family Life Center, 631 S. Richard Allen Ct.
