Bonner County man crushed by car

A 56-year-old Bonner County man died Tuesday night after being crushed by his car.

The man and a 55-year-old passenger were trying to fix their stalled vehicle on Gun Club Road near Sagle, Idaho, when the vehicle began to roll, the Idaho State Police said in a news release.

Both men tried to hold the vehicle to stop it, the release said. The passenger was flung from the vehicle onto the road and survived without injuries. The driver was thrown over the embankment and crushed between the vehicle and trees.

The driver’s name has not been released because his family has not yet been notified, the release said.
