Betty June Sylvia Wood passed quietly away on December 15, 2015 at the age of 93.
Born Betty June Sylvia Victor on May 6, 1922, in St.
Cloud, Minnesota, her family moved to Spokane, Washington where she later married Samuel Cope Wood and raised their eight children.
Betty was passionate about nutrition.
She traveled extensively to lecture, educate and share her knowledge of nutrition and its impact on ones’ quality of life.
She had a wide circle of friends, stretching across the United Sates.
Her influence was felt in the lives of everyone who knew her.
Betty is survived by six children, Vivian Irene Latham, Rebecca Marie Manning, Samuel Patrick, Blaine Michael, Cynthia Suann Sanderson, and Jeffrey Victor.
She deeply loved her family and had a special love for her grandchildren: Michel Kidder, Kelly Latham, Christopher Latham, Betty Knightlinger, Becky Thomas, Bryan Ott, Jim Ott, David Ott, Kathy Neufeld, Samantha Gebbers, Blaine Wood, Samuel Wood, Erik Wood, Kari Wood, Jennifer McKenna, Jason Schonder, Jolie Pearce, Jeffrey Wood, Chelsea Woodhead and Mattice Wood.
She leaves behind many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Betty has joined two sons, Robert LaRoy and Matthew Taylor, as well as, three of her grandchildren: Leanne Knightlinger, Robert Wood, Jr. and Chuck Porret, who preceded her in death.
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, May 6, at 2 pm at Heritage Funeral Home with a reception following.
Private interment was held on December 20, 2015.
