Man accused of tearing monitor off the wall in Sacred Heart ER

A Spokane man is accused of causing more than $5,000 damage at the Sacred Heart Medical Center emergency room after he became agitated with nurses and ripped a computer monitor off the wall.

Tyson R. Olson, 30, faces a felony malicious mischief charge for allegedly destroying a mounting arm and computer monitor inside a room at the hospital, according to court documents. The damage put the room out of commission because the computer could not be used to record or view medical records.

The police officer who responded to the call reported Olson admitted to destroying the equipment and said he “hears voices,” court documents say.
