Homicide investigation closes I-90 near Ritzville
A homicide investigation closed westbound Interstate 90 near Ritzville for several hours Tuesday morning.
Washington State Patrol troopers and Adams County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to milepost 206 around 2:40 a.m. Tuesday after receiving a call about a vehicle-pedestrian crash, WSP spokesman Trooper Jeff Sevigney said.
On arrival, they found a man with a three-year-old child walking away from a vehicle. Near the vehicle, they found a woman lying dead on the road with multiple puncture wounds on her body, the Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
Deputies arrested the man, 33-year-old Manual Argomaniz-Camargo. There are no outstanding suspects, Sevigney said.
The coroner arrived on scene around 9:30 a.m., and I-90 reopened at Highway 21 just before 11 a.m.
