Refuse to choose party

I returned my primary ballot with boxes not filled in for Democratic party or Republican parties. I vote for the man or woman, not the party. That’s my right. My ballot was returned back to me indicating that I had to mark a box for either party, or my vote would not count.

My vote isn’t going to count this time because I refuse to choose a party. I’m 72 years old and have never been required to choose a party. My vote counted in the past, so why should it be any different now? What can we do about this? I’m sure I’m not the only one. I read Bert Caldwell’s letter. Good for you. Bert.
