Crews douse fire at Les Schwab store in downtown Spokane
Investigators are searching for the cause of a fire that destroyed several stacks of tires and damaged the back wall of a Les Schwab store in downtown Spokane.
Crews quickly extinguished the fire after it was reported about 10 p.m. Tuesday. The store at 101 W. Second Ave. was open for business Wednesday morning.
“All we know is it caught on fire and the back of the store is burnt up, and we have no idea what happened,” said Rick Woods, a store manager.
Woods said the fire also grazed the Days Inn next door.
