Some Spokane school district employees receive raise

The Spokane Public Schools board of directors unanimously approved a 3 percent raise for a group of about 80 positions Wednesday night.

The raise affects non-administrative and non-union workers districtwide. Those are professional technical, executive assistants and technology service employees.

A salary study commissioned by the district last year determined that districts of similar size provided a 3 percent increase. The increase will go into effect Feb. 1.
