Suspended Missouri suspended junior QB Maty Mauk for the third time in four months shortly after a video surfaced on social media. The 9-second video of a person appearing to snort a white powder off a table was posted on Twitter by a user who mentioned Mauk’s name, but there has been no confirmation from Missouri that the video shows Mauk.

Agreed Right- hander Josh Tomlin and the Cleveland Indians agreed to a two-year contract, a deal that includes a club option for 2018. Tomlin returned from shoulder surgery last year to go 7-2 with a 3.02 ERA in 10 starts. His agreement supersedes a $2.25 million, one-year deal that was reached Jan. 15.

Hired Former Southern California lineman Kenechi Udeze has been named the Trojans’ defensive line coach. USC coach Clay Helton announced the promotion for Udeze, an assistant strength and conditioning coach at his alma mater last season.

Confirmed Former Texas QB Vince Young, who was arrested Sunday and charged with driving while intoxicated, will get to keep his job at the University of Texas. UT officials confirmed that Young will remain an employee in UT’s Division of Diversity and Community Engagement where he works in alumni relations and in a mentoring role to help first-generation college students from low- income backgrounds.

Diagnosed Former NFL and Iowa safety Tyler Sash, who died last year at age 27, has been diagnosed with chronic traumatic encephalopathy. CTE, which can be diagnosed only after death, has been found in the brains of dozens of former football players. Linked to repeated brain trauma, it is associated with symptoms such as memory loss, impaired judgment, depression, and dementia.

Selected Paul Azinger has been selected as the lead golf analyst for Fox Sports as it enters the second year of televising the U.S. Open and other USGA championships.Two people informed of the decision say Azinger is replacing Greg Norman.
