‘The Book of Mormon’: By the numbers

It’s been 15 months since the national touring production of “The Book of Mormon” first visited Spokane. If you didn’t catch the profane, controversial, offensive and often hilarious show last time it was here, and are interested, here are a few things you should know, by the numbers.

$1,673,452 What “Book of Mormon” grossed at the INB Performing Arts Center for an eight-performance run, breaking a record set in 2011 by “Wicked,” according to West Coast Entertainment.

$5 million The economic impact of the show in Spokane, based on the Broadway League’s formula that for every $1 in tickets sales, there’s $3 spent in the local economy, according to West Coast Entertainment.

21,600 The number of people who saw “The Book of Mormon” in Spokane in 2014, estimated based on the INB’s 2,700 capacity during a sold-out run.
