Obituary: Dowell, William Walter “Bill”

DOWELL, William Walter “Bill”

William Walter Dowell was 53 and lived in Spokane, WA.

He is survived by his wife Venice; 3 daughters, Melinda, Alisha, Amanda; a stepdaughter Nichole along with 13 grandchildren.

He passed away in his sleep Saturday morning on February 13th.

He was born in Aberdeen, WA to Harold and Bonnie (Baily) Dowell.

He married Venice (Berschied) in August of 1983 at the Hitching Post in CDA.

He ran his own business for the majority of his life.

He owned security and both sewer and plumbing businesses.

He had many great contributions.

He would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need and many times did (not always looked happily upon by the family…LOL).

He could make anyone feel comfortable in any situation.

His jokes were rarely funny but his laughter after he told them was VERY funny and infectious, which made everyone laugh, in turn leading him to believe he was funny.

His greatest contribution was with his grandkids.

He was their mentor, support, secret keeper, partner-in-crime and best friend.

He made sure he was involved in all their lives when he was able; their sports, friends, school, plays and anything else that came up.

Bill, Dad, Papa will be missed more than words can express!

The Service is being held at Amanda’s house (contact for address: 509-701-1852) on Saturday February 27th at 3 PM.

His final resting place will be at the Pines Cemetery, in the Mausoleum, in Spokane Valley, WA.

His remains will be placed Friday February 26th.

The interment will be private.

A strong, unbreakable man was lost in his journey of life but never in the journey of those he loved.
