Coeur d’Alene police find man dead in home after domestic dispute

Coeur d’Alene police say they found a man dead in a home early Thursday after responding to a domestic dispute.

Officers were called just after midnight and found a woman outside with “obvious trauma to her head and face,” police said in a news release. The woman told officers she had been fighting with her boyfriend and had just fled the residence in the 1000 block of W. Fallview Drive.

Police called the man and he didn’t answer, so they entered the home and discovered he was dead, the news release said.

The woman was taken by ambulance to Kootenai Health.

Police did not release either person’s name and said evidence was still being collected from the scene.
