Mary Miller lived a fantastic life.

Born November 27, 1925 in Marion, South Dakota to Henry and Helena (Becker) Boldt, Mary peacefully passed on April 16, 2016 in Spokane, WA.

Mary’s husband and lifelong partner, Leland “Lee” Lloyd Miller, was with her until several years ago.

Mary and Lee were married in South Dakota in 1945 and raised seven children.

In 1966, the family moved to Spokane and lived in the Valley.

Mary took great pride in being a wife and mother.

She was always a gracious host to all people from all walks of life.

At 57, she started running and participated in Bloomsday runs for many years.

In retirement Mary and Lee wintered in Arizona and enjoyed summer camping, canoeing and hiking in the Pacific Northwest.

She sang in the Spokane Valley United Methodist Church choir and participated in the Couples Club.

Mary loved music, dancing, and social activities with family and friends.

She is survived by her sons Gregory Clark Miller (Hope, Idaho), Stanley Lester Miller (Spokane), Orin Lee Miller (Sagle, ID), and Scott Stephen Miller (Superior, Colorado); by her daughters Julie Anne Jacob (Seattle), Carol Jean Vanhoff (Coeur d’Alene), and Lois Kay Bruce (Coeur d’Alene); eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and by her brothers Alfred Boldt (Marion, SD) and Robert Boldt (Sioux Falls, SD).

A Memorial Service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20th at the Spokane Valley United Methodist Church (115 N. Raymond Rd., Spokane Valley, WA 99206).
