“The Hunting Ground” Documentary that examines universities’ response to sexual assault on their campuses. “The Cherokee Word for Water” Starring Kimberly Norris Geurrero. After the film, Guerrero, whose heritage lies with the Colville, Salish-Kootenai and Cherokee tribes and who is a member of the Colville Tribe, will discuss her portrayal of the late Wilma Pearl Mankiller, the first woman to serve as principal chief of the Cherokee Nation. Making Change Film Forum Brings together documentaries about farmworkers in Idaho and a rapper-led social movement in Senegal, West Africa. Through the screening of these two films and a discussion with people involved in their making, the forum audience will explore the common concerns of people working for a better life and a better society in two distinct parts of the world. 74 minutes. “Iron Jawed Angels” Alice Paul and the women of the 1917 women’s suffrage movement fight for future generations’ right to vote and run for office. Sacrificing their health, marriages and the limited amount of freedom they had, women were imprisoned and force fed after picketing and hunger-striking against president Woodrow Wilson; but survived to see the results of their efforts. 6 p.m.: Meet and Greet with appetizers and no-host bar catered by Gnosh.
