Man escapes from Lincoln County Jail

A 34-year-old man escaped from the Lincoln County Jail Friday morning, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said.

The man, identified as Ronald Alan Rutledge, escaped around 8:30 a.m. in a civilian’s vehicle, the Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook. He then ditched the vehicle and stole an ATV before ditching the ATV and proceeding on foot.

The Sheriff’s Office said Rutledge was wearing a blue coat and green beanie hat. Anyone who spots him should call 911, and residents are advised to lock their vehicles and houses.
