Obituary: Campbell, Jerrod Shane Sgt Usmc
Age 29
Jerrod was born on April 15, 1986 in Colfax, Washington to Charles Campbell and Shannon Ayers.
Jerrod spent his youth outdoors at his grandparents’ lake cabin, at muzzleloader rendezvous, riding four wheelers, wrestling, and building memories.
He was a 2004 graduate of Colfax High School.
In 2006, Jerrod and his wife Jessica were married at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Uniontown and since that time have become the proud parents of three incredible children.
In 2007, Jerrod enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.
This new path moved Sgt.
Campbell and his family to California where he was stationed for the duration of his enlistment.
He participated in four combat tours of duty including one to Iraq and three to Afghanistan.
He was a combat and construction engineer.
Two of his deployments were completed with MARSOC, the Marine Corps Special Operations Command.
He received many awards and commendations which include a Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
Jerrod is survived by his grandparents, Orrin and Mary Kambitsch; parents, Shannon (Dean) Ayers, Charles Campbell; wife Jessica and children Adriana, Jacob and Charlotte; siblings, James (Angela) Campbell, Brandi Campbell, Cameron (Danielle) Peterson, Charity (Shawn) Rodda, multiple nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He will be deeply missed but not forgotten.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17th at St. Boniface Catholic Church, followed by a reception at the Uniontown Community Building.
Jerrod will be laid to rest with full military honors in a private family ceremony at St. Gall Catholic Cemetery in Colton.
Friends may call and pay their respects to the family at a closed-casket visitation to be held at Kimball Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16th.
Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of choice.
