Obituary: Fisher, Gloria Virginia
Age 95
She was born in Reardan, WA to Ralph and Polly Johnson on April 28, 1920.
She graduated from Lindbergh High School in Valleyford, WA as Valedictiorian in 1937.
She attended Cheney Normal School.
Gloria married Charlie J. Fisher on July 3, 1939.
She was active in church and taught Sunday School until almost age 90.
Gloria was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn; parents; husband, Charlie; grandson, Jeffery Weitkamp; two great-grandchildren, Rachelle Risken and John Brereton IV, and her son-in-law, Lew Snyder.
Gloria is survived by her sister, Paddy Branvold; her daughters, Charlene Snyder, Lynette (Larry) Keller, and Jonita (Denny) Weitkamp; eight grandchildren, Robin (Shelly) Oliver, David (Tina) Oliver, Rick (Karen) Oliver, Suzi Risken, Gene (Sally) Smith, Rita (John) Nichols, Devona (Robert) Sellers, and Tanya (Mike) Conklin.
She is also survived by 12 great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank the staff at Sunshine Gardens for the great and loving care of our mother the past year or so.
A Celebration of Life Service will be October 10th, 2:00 pm at Opportunity Baptist Church, 13620 E. Broadway Ave., Spokane Valley, WA, Rev.
