Age 79
He was born January 3rd, 1936 in Spokane, WA to John J. and Rosalin A.
(Gregor) Elmore.
On April 28th, 1985 John and Kristin Lynn Deurloo dedicated their lives, in love, to each other on Long Island, NY.
John worked as a Reseach Biochemist (Ph.D) for the U.S. Government in New York and later at Abbott Labs.
in Illinois.
He served in the U.S. Army and studied Russian at the foreign language school at Monterey, CA.
John served his Heavenly Father faithfully and was happy playing the piano or organ and singing hymns.
John enjoyed sports, his Golden Retrievers, travel, and gardening.
John raised two sons, Kevin and Daryl Elmore of Idaho, and two step-sons, Edward and James Chung of Illinois and Oregon respectively.
Papa John was grandfather of nine grandchildren.
John will be interred at the Washington State Veteran’s Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA on October 12th, 2015.
John’s family wish is that the words of the hymn would be his, “Peace with the Father Attendeth my way…It is well with my soul.”
