Obituary: Kirsch, Janet Elaine (Fox)

Age 69

KIRSCH, Janet Elaine (Fox) Was born June 11, 1945 in Kent, Washington, the youngest child of Bert and Gertrude Fox.

After graduating from Kent Meridian High School in 1963, she attended the University of Puget Sound and later Eastern Washington University where she received her degree in education.

She taught in Dayton Elementary School in Dayton, WA.

While there, she met her husband, Richard Kirsch, and they were married on March 19th, 1977 in Spokane Valley, WA at Community Church of the Bible.

They had four children, Ann, John, Jim, and Peter.

Janet loved her family and was loved dearly by each of them and by all who knew her.

She enjoyed helping other people with acts of service and giving gifts.

She especially enjoyed visiting shut-ins.

Janet was very gifted with singing, arts and crafts.

After her children became independent, she volunteered her time to oversee the media ministries of Community Church of the Bible where her husband was the pastor.

Janet will be remembered by her family and friends for her bright smile and loving, gentle, giving spirit.

Janet passed away peacefully on March 6, 2015 at her home in Spokane Valley after suffering a number of strokes.

She is survived by her husband Richard, daughter Ann (Ryan), sons John (Bri), Jim (Laura), and Peter (Lauren), three grandchildren, brother Jim Fox, and sister Joan Robbins.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to Horizon Hospice for their caring support during Janet’s final three months at home.

A memorial service will be held at Community Church of the Bible, 4510 N. Sullivan Road, Spokane Valley, WA on April 13 at 11 AM.
