Obituary: Brooks, Isaih Michael
Age 16
Isaih is survived by his parents Katie Brooks of Spokane and Cody Brooks of Spokane and his older sister Chloe Brooks.
He also leaves behind his maternal grandparents, Mary Mattie of Spokane and Steve Mattie of Spokane; his paternal grandparents Ron and Cheryl Brooks of Deer Park; his aunt, uncle and three cousins.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Laura Brooks of Spokane.
Isaih was born on August 12, 1998 in Spokane.
He was a member of the Shadle Park High School percussion group and loved playing the drums.
He often would be found drumming on the table, his knees, or any other available surface.
For seven years, Isaih spent his summers as a camper at Camp Reed and Camp Spalding.
The swimming, friends, pranks, food, campfires, songs and activities were all special to Isaih.
Last summer he was a Counselor in Training at Camp Reed and spoke often of the bike ride trip and the fun he had.
Isaih was always ready to play and be goofy.
He loved making people laugh with his funny faces, wild hair and silly tricks.
His playful spirit will live on in our memories.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 9th at 4:00 pm at Indian Trail Church, 9010 N. Indian Trail Road.
Isaih will be laid to rest at Riverside Memorial Park at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to YMCA Camp Reed, 1126 N Monroe Street, Spokane, WA 99201.
