Obituary: Hitzel, Vera Jesse
Age 89
Vera was born in Taber, Alberta, Canada on August 23, 1925.
She graduated from high school in Lethbridge, Alberta Canada and moved to the United States in 1942.
She attended Kinman Business School and went to work at Arden Farms Dairy soon after.
She met Donald Hitzel in 1948 and was married -they had 66 years together.
Vera had two sons, Donald Gary and Bradley Carter.
She was a beautiful wife and loving mother.
She was preceded in death by parents Fred and Anna Ellis, brother Homer Ellis, sister Laura Mead and son, Bradley Hitzel.
Vera is survived by Donald Hitzel, Gary Hitzel; and sister Pearl Lennon of Edmonton; three grandchildren, Gregory Hitzel, Laura Irish and Leanna Chapman; nephews Robert Perry, Dr. Douglas Perry of Edmonton; and daughter-in-law Brenda Hitzel of East Wenatchee, WA.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on June 27, 2015 at First Free Methodist Church, 1725 W. Courtland, Spokane.
