Obituary: Wagner, Darcy Ray

Age 63

WAGNER, Darcy Ray (Age 63) Darcy Ray Wagner passed away at his home in Grand Coulee on May 13, 2015.

Darcy was born on March 28, 1952 in Spokane to Lloyd and Mary Belle Wagner.

He grew up in Spokane and Mead and attended school in the Mead School District where he graduated in 1970.

After graduation, he went to work for Burlington Northern Railroad.

In the early 1970’s he moved from Mead to Curlew Washington where his four children were born.

He also lived in Chelan and Keller before settling in Grand Coulee.

For the past 21 years he has enjoyed working for the Colville Indian Tribe in Nespelem, WA.

Darcy was a kind, gentle, loving man who enjoyed spending time with his family, extended family and friends.

He appreciated nature and all it has to offer.

He loved hiking, kayaking, floating the river, gardening and just about anything outdoors.

We’re honored to have shared in his life.

Our cherished memories of Darcy will forever remain with us and hold a blessed place in our hearts.

The best way to honor him is to go for a hike, kayak down a river or just go out and look at the stars.

Darcy was preceded in death by his infant brother, John Jacob and his father, Lloyd.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Belle Wagner; four children, Chelsea Wagner, Bryce Wagner, Coral Harper (Joe), and Jacob Wagner; two grandchildren, Kaleb Wagner and Josie Harper; one sister, Renee Stern (Rick); three brothers, Stuart (Pat), Brian (Malinda) and Aaron (Diane); his friend and companion, Clarice Ann Michel; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service is planned for later this summer.
