Area roundup: Spokane Shock add two defensive linemen
The Spokane Shock were assigned defensive linemen Daniel Riley and Alex Magee to their active roster, the Arena Football League team announced Wednesday.
Riley, an AFL rookie, first joined the Shock during training camp before spending time with the Canadian Football League’s BC Lions. Magee, a third-year player in the AFL, was released May 26 by the Arizona Rattlers.
The Shock also placed receivers Ben Nelson and Brandon Collins on recallable reassignment. Both were claimed from waivers on Tuesday.
Spokane also placed DL Rickey Simpson on reassignment.
On Monday, the Shock placed offensive lineman Tavaris Jeffries on league suspension and DL Will Hunt on reassignment.
They put defensive back Lowell Rose on the other league exempt list as he joined the San Diego Chargers.
