Outlaws put end to run by Bandits in American Legion state tourney

BELLINGHAM – The Spokane Bandits fell one game short of the Senior American Legion state championship game in lopsided fashion on Tuesday, losing to the Kennewick Outlaws 15-0.

The Outlaws scored in every inning except the top of the third and finished with 16 singles and a home run.

Colton Plew went the distance for Kennewick and allowed just four hits, all singles.

The Outlaws were to play Lakeside Recovery in the title game later Tuesday night. Both teams advance to the Northwest Regionals next week in Wyoming.

Cole Beemer went 2 for 4 to account for half of the Bandits’ hits. David Mickey and Jermaine Ducham each singled.
