Obituary: Tjards, Otto “Dean”

Age 82

TJARDS, Otto “Dean” Died peacefully with family by his side on January 23, 2015.

Dean was born September 29, 1932 in Woodstock, MN.

Dean is survived by his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Jean, and their children Joe (Jacque) Tjards, Deb (Randy) Wenstrand, Diane (Mike) Laughlin, Jerry (Shari) Tjards, Denise (Tom) Chesher, Jack (Carolyn) Tjards, Darcy Tjards, nineteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family was Dean’s number one priority and pride.

He spent countless hours playing cards, games and attending sporting events of his children and grandchildren.

Dean served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army, was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Silvers Group and a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers.

Funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Spokane Valley at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2015 with burial services Monday, February 2, 2015 at 2:15 at Washington State Veterans Cemetery, Medical Lake.
