Age 80

GUERRERO, Iva Klien Iva Klien Guerrero was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to Lester and Laura Edwards on August 4, 1934.

She entered Heaven’s gates on January 24, 2015 surrounded by her family.

A consummate mother and homemaker, Iva was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family.

She enjoyed gardening and had a deep love for the animal kingdom often taking in strays.

She had a delightful sense of humor as evident by her love for roller derby!

Iva had an unwavering faith in God.

She was a life long Lutheran and read her bible every day.

Her legacy includes raising two daughters and passing on her faith in God to them.

She was a selfless, kind and loving mother.

She once sold her antique silver to help one of her daughters.

Late nights and countless hours were spent by Iva correcting spelling and typing term papers for a daughter in college, prior to computers and spell check being available.

Iva was her daughter’s biggest cheerleader and advocate throughout life.

In addition, she told everyone she met that she loved them, and… she genuinely did!

Iva was predeceased by her parents and loving husband of over 30 years, Ralph Guerrero.

She was also predeceased by her sister, Katherine and her brother, Oscar.

Iva is survived by her daughter Amanda Hepper and her husband Tim, and her daughter Kristi Apgar and her husband Scott.

She is also survived by five grandchildren, Matthew McKay, Kirsten Jordan, Katrina Jordan, Kimber Jordan, and Julianna Jordan.

She had two great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Audrianna.

The family would like to give special thanks to The Beacon House and Hospice of Spokane for their loving care of Iva during her last two years.

Be still and know that I am God.
