Obituary: Kinyon, Michael Charles
Age 74
Mike was a member of Sigma Tau, Eta Chapter WSU, working at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Hawaii and PSNS, Bremerton, WA retiring in 1993.
Mike passed peacefully on December 22, 2014 at Harrison Hospital after a lengthy battle with leukemia.
Mike was born in Salmon, Idaho and grew up in Spokane.
He graduated from Lewis & Clark H.S.
Class of 1959.
Mike loved his family and friends.
He enjoyed traveling, ATV riding, SCUBA diving, flintknapping, becoming an ultra light pilot and later a private pilot with his solo flight in 1994.
He was a member of Kitsap Aviation Squadron in Bremerton, WA.
He took many family and friends flying around Puget Sound and Spokane.
He is preceded in death by his oldest son Kevin (1963 - 2001), his brother Kenneth and sister Kathleen.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patsy (Krick), his son Greg, two daughters-in-law (Kim and Linda) and his granddaughter Lily.
Lily wrote an essay on her hero, ‘Papa Mike’ and came to the hospital to read it to him.
He was our Hero!
A celebration of life will be held in Deer Park this summer.
His ashes will be placed over his favorite logging area in Idaho and where he loved scuba diving in Hawaii.
