Boeing fires 4 accused of selling, using drugs at work
Four Boeing Everett employees have been fired for allegedly selling and using drugs at the workplace, company officials said Friday.
“There were both drug sales and drug use on the site,” Boeing spokesman Doug Alder said. “We’re not being specific about the drugs involved.”
In an internal message, Boeing management told employees the terminations “followed a thorough investigation.”
Alder said the results of that investigation have been turned over to police.
Everett police spokesman Aaron Snell said officers are following up on the information provided by the company.
“At this time, it is too early to determine the validity or extent of the alleged drug violations,” Snell said.
The Everett site has nearly 40,000 workers.
