Four corners: Gonzaga
Coming up: Tonight vs. Saint Mary’s, 8 (ESPNU); Saturday vs. Pacific, 5 p.m. (KHQ)
Outlook: The WCC’s top two teams square off for first place. It’s a matchup of the conference’s top two centers: the Gaels’ Brad Waldow (20.6 points, 10.1 rebounds) and GU’s Przemek Karnowski (10.6 points, 6.2 rebounds). It’s also a matchup of the top two rebounding teams: Saint Mary’s (plus 9.8), GU (plus 9.1). “It’s always a point of emphasis here. We take a lot of pride in it, especially this game,” coach Mark Few said. “This is a team that has a really high offensive rebounding percentage.” Gonzaga’s 34-game home winning streak is the longest in the nation. GU has won three straight in the series at the McCarthey Athletic Center following the Gaels’ win in 2011.
