Obituary: Henderson, Lyle D.

Age 81

HENDERSON, Lyle D. (Age 81) Lyle Henderson, beloved husband, dad, grandpa, brother and uncle passed away January 10, 2015 in Spokane.

He was born October 23, 1933 to Phil and Violet Henderson in Davenport, WA graduating from Davenport High School in 1952.

He spent two years in Alaska serving in the United States Army.

He married Donna Harris on April 21, 1956 in Dishman, WA.

They raised their five children in the Spokane Valley.

Lyle worked at Fiberform Boats until his retirement, then remained active with various carpentry and remodel work.

He enjoyed spending time camping and fishing at Lake Pend Oreille and also watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their various sporting events.

Lyle called Berean Bible Church his home church for 47 years, and was active in youth activities there for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents Phil and Vi, brothers Gary and Robert, and baby daughter Rochelle.

Lyle is survived by his wife of 59 years Donna, four sons Rick (Char), Randy (Laury), Ron (Debbie), Russ (Cindy) and daughter Rene, 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, brother Don (Linda) along with several brothers and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 24 at 1:00 pm at Berean Bible Church, 10910 E. Boone, Spokane Valley.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Berean Bible Church Benevolent Fund or Hospice of Spokane.
