Obituary: Williams, Leonard L.

Age 52

WILLIAMS, Leonard L. (Age 52) With great sorrow, we say goodbye to Leonard Leland Williams, 52, of Spokane, Washington, who passed away due to cardiac arrest on January 11, 2015.

Leonard was born January 6, 1963 to Richard “Dick” and Harriet “Sally” Williams in Spokane, Washington.

The family lived in the Seattle area for several years prior to settling in Kewa, Washington in 1973.

He graduated in 1981 from Inchelium High School where he enjoyed participating in many of the school’s sporting activities.

He later moved to Spokane where he met and married Lorie (Mettling) Tennis.

Leonard’s favorite pastimes were fishing, hunting, and camping.

He also enjoyed watching Nascar, the Seahawks, and the “Zags”.

He was a “self-taught” mechanic providing service for his many friends and family.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Lorie of Spokane; two sons, Richard and Robbie Williams of Inchelium; two step-sons Raymond Carson of Inchelium and Gavin Tennis of Spokane; mother Harriet Williams; sisters Patricia Williams and Brenda Froemke (William); three brothers Delbert Williams (Tana), Robert Williams (Lori), and Richard “Rick” Williams, all from Spokane, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Williams; paternal grandparents Jacque and Rosalie Williams; and maternal grandparents George and Lois “Hank” Moore.

A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held at a date yet to be determined.

His ashes will be scattered by family.
