Blotter: Liberty Lake residents slept through burglary
A Liberty Lake family recently awoke to find items missing from their home and garage. They told police someone was in their house as they slept.
A resident in the 23000 block of East Boone called police the morning of Jan. 5 to report the crime. The man said it appeared that someone had gotten into the home through a door leading to the backyard, said Police Chief Brian Asmus.
A duffle bag filled with various items and a bicycle valued at $300 were reported stolen.
Other calls from Dec. 29 to Jan. 5.
Jan. 2: A man was reported to be parking in front of mailboxes in the 900 block of North Garry Road. His car was not blocking the mailboxes and the driver was advised not to do so in the future.
Jan. 3: One car crashed in the 21000 block of East Country Vista Drive just after 11 p.m. The driver appeared to be intoxicated and a Washington State Patrol trooper was asked to administer a DUI test. The woman was arrested and her car was towed.
Arrests: Police made six arrests for driving with a suspended license and one for no valid operator’s license.
Citations: Officers handed out four citations for failure to show proof of liability insurance and one for resisting arrest.
