Obituary: Johnson, Margaret “Maggie”

Age 85

JOHNSON, Margaret “Maggie” 6/13/1929 01/04/2015 Pat Tolley’s beloved sister Margaret (Maggie) Johnson was welcomed into eternal life with her Savior from the Hospice House North on January 4, 2015.

She was born in Wentachee, WA to Theodore and Henrietta Johnson.

They moved to Spokane in 1933 and grew up in Hillyard which was a thriving community.

After attending local schools, she moved to the family ranch in Douglas County to care for grandmother Willms and many family members for 20 years.

She had many friends and loved life on the ranch.

Maggie returned to Spokane to live with her parents and cared for them until they entered eternal life with their Savior.

She enjoyed plants and flowers and especially her many beautiful cats, a special one, name “Boots” with his four white paws.

She lived with her sister for many years, and was always happy and a great friend and sister.

Her biggest joy was sharing birthdays, parties and dinners with special friends.

Maggie is survived by her sister Pat Tolley and many cousins and friends.

We will miss her very much, but she is in a far glorious place with our Lord.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 4620 N. Regal (corner of Wellesley & Regal) on Saturday, January 17th at 1:00 PM.

Memorial gifts in her memory may be made to St Peter’s Community Breakfast Outreach for people in Hillyard.

“Living or dying, Lord, I ask but to be Thine; My life in Thee; Thy life in me Make heaven forever mine.”
