Braves knock off Leafs
Dillon Bogart scored twice and had an assist as the Spokane Braves defeated the Nelson Leafs 5-2 in a KIJHL game at Eagles Ice-A-Rena on Sunday.
Danton Oliver, Jonny Marzec and Paxton Malone also scored for the Braves (21-17-0-4, 46 points).
Bogart scored the first and final goals of the game, both on power plays against the Leafs (22-11-2-4, 50).
Oliver’s goal gave the Braves a 2-1 advantage in the first period and Marzec and Malone scored in the second period for a 4-1 cushion.
Trevor Dilauro made 32 saves in goal for Spokane. The Braves outshot Nelson 43-36.
