Biracial an OK term

Regarding the Dec. 28 letter from Jim Barbieri: It seems several people are outraged by the use of the word “biracial” to describe the president. Really?

I believe it is appropriate today to refer to a certain medical condition as “bipolar.” And a person that is described as “bilingual” is considered gifted. And, of course, we are all familiar with the ever popular use of the word “bisexual” in today’s commonly accepted language.

So am I missing something here? Did President Obama somehow recently change his DNA? Otherwise, he is still part white and part black, and to the best of my knowledge, he openly celebrates that fact.

Otherwise, this appears to be just another attempt by the politically correct police to convince us that telling the truth isn’t in vogue anymore.
