Obituary: Harris, Billy Ray
Bill grew up in Spokane and graduated from East Valley High School.
After graduation Bill worked in construction and continued in that field until he was forced to take early retirement.
He passed away in Seattle, at the Harbor View Medical Center on New Years Eve 2014.
He had traveled to Harbor View after being notified that his older brother had been in a serious car accident .
Billy Ray was preceded in death by his father Hubert Harris, his oldest son Shane Harris and daughter Shimburly Ann Harris.
He is survived by his youngest son, Jeramiah Ray Harris; his mother, Lily Harris; his oldest brother, Clifford Harris; oldest sister, Sharon King; brother-in-law, Marvin King; younger brother, David Harris; younger sister, Cris Harris/Short and brother-in-law, Mark Short.
There are also numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Bill also has a step family that he loved as his own.
Bill was a good man and a free spirit.
He was always willing to help others in need if he could, He was loyal to his family, his friends and his word.
He would do anything he could to take care of them.
Family was so important to Bill and he played a huge role in our family dynamics being everything from a brother, uncle, son, dad and even a hero to some.
We will miss Billy Ray more than words can express and the loss we feel from his passing will take some time to heal but we can find some peace in knowing that he no longer has to miss his children Shane and Shimburly or his dad Hubert they are together now watching over those of us left here, waiting for the day we can all be together again.
Services will be held Saturday, January 10th, 2015 at 1:00 pm.
