Obituary: John, Margaret

JOHN, Margaret (Age 87) (Ethel Margaret Drews) passed away January 2, 2015 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Spokane Valley, WA while under the care of Horizon Hospice.

Memorial Services are to be held at Otis Or-chards Community Church.

Margaret was born in Coffeeville, KS on April 20, 1927.

She lived in rural Kansas where she graduated from High School, married, and had two children.

She worked most of her career in the banking industry and was a bank executive at the First National Bank of Browning, MT for twenty years.

With her husband Ray, she owned and operated The Mountain View Motel in East Glacier Park and in semi-retirement a mobile home park in Kalispell.

One of her favorite hobbies in retirement was needlework, and she loved to donate her handiwork to local charities.

Margaret, an accomplished pianist, delighted in sharing her music with others and found comfort playing in the privacy of her home.

She was an active member and past officer of the Spokane Valley Newcomers Club.

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Ray, sister Jean, and brother Chuck.

She is survived by her son Carl, his wife Vickie; daughter Debi Maggard and her husband Allen; grandchildren Dave (Wendy) and Jay Maggard; great-grandchildren Chelsea and Mick; and great-great-grandchild Wyatt.

There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Otis Orchards Community Church, 23304 E. Wellesley Ave., Otis Orchards, WA, at 11:00 am.
