From staff reports
Animal control officers are looking for the owner of a pot-bellied pig found running down a Spokane street on Valentine’s Day. A resident confined the pig in a yard and called Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service (SCRAPS) after a few near misses with cars. “She is a very well-trained pig,” Nancy Hill, SCRAPS’ regional director, said in a news release. “She walks on a leash and even appears to be house-trained.” The staff at SCRAPS nicknamed her Valentine. The pig was found in the area of East Mallon Avenue and North Pittsburg Street. The owner can call SCRAPS at (509) 477-2532 or stop by the shelter.
