Police dog tracks down robber
A man who robbed a north Spokane Subway restaurant Saturday evening was quickly arrested.
A man walked in to the Subway in the 6400 block of North Nevada Street around 5:15 p.m. and demanded money after ordering a sandwich, said Spokane Police Department spokeswoman Teresa Fuller. No weapon was shown.
“We were able to get a K9 out there very quickly,” said Fuller.
The police dog tracked the suspected robber to a home in the 1100 block of East Francis. Christopher Sather, 27, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
